The situation in the world is characterized by a dynamic transformation of the system of international relations. Russia is in a war state against Ukraine now. Practically Russia is in a state of war against Europe. It is a very important in aspect of Lithuanian national security. The primary interests of the Republic of Lithuania are: viability of NATO and the EU, security, democracy and welfare of all states of the Euro-Atlantic community. The external risks, dangers and threats which must be given particular attention by the institutions ensuring national security are as follows: economic and energy dependence (energy, transport, finances and crediting); crime and shadow economy, international organised crime and other cross-border crimes – human trafficking, smuggling, illicit trade in drugs, arms, dual-use items, money laundering, illegal immigration, cyber-crime and other criminal acts. The police and state border guard officers must be professional in order to do their tasks professionally. The article strives to disclose the higher statutory officer’s education at the Faculty of Public Security Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania. The trends and developments in higher state border guard officer’s education in Lithuania have generally confirmed the principal challenges identified in the Bologna Declaration – standardizes and integrates the Lithuanian education in the European Higher Education Area. This paper is part of a larger study into university education for the police and state border guard officer’s managers and presents the preliminary findings of the study.

Maternal infections caused by TORCH [Toxoplasma gondii, Rubella virus, Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Herpes simplex virus (HSV)] and others agents like Chlamydiatrachomatis,Treponemapallidum, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, HIV, etc. are the major causes of bad obstetric history(BoH) .The aim of this study to find out how many pregnant women in Hail region infected withTORCH through examination of serum sample in serology department in MaternaityHospatil using ELISA technique, with trying to find out the number of abortion cases due to thisinfection.The study of pregnant women with bad obstetric history. Cases withhypertension, diabetes mellitus, eclampsia of pregnancy, and Rh incompatibility were excluded fromthe study. Serological evaluation for TORCH infections was carried out by IgMEnzyme LinkedImmunosorbant Assay (ELISA) method. Antenatal follow-up and delivery outcome was recorded.In these study ,521 women were enrolled, 73 out of them are positive for Toxoplasma immune haemagglutination Assay, 63 positive ToxoIgG, 99 positive for ToxoIgM, 73 Rubella IgG while 71 was positive for Rubella IgM.Inconclusion,TORCH positivity percentage was found to be (18) (18/100) in our study. It was found that, the average age of the patient was (20 to 50 years old), the majority came from Hail city.

The aim of the present study was to examine acute effects of static stretching, dynamic stretching, massage and music after a traditional warm-up on the speed, explosive power and reaction time performance of well-trained college students. Thirty active Caucasian male students (age 22.6 ± 2.3 yr) participated in the present study. In study was compared the effects of 5 different warm-up protocols on speed, explosive power and reaction time. Protocols included static stretching, dynamic stretching, massage, music or rest. The results indicated that performing pre-exercise dynamic stretching or listening to music positively affected acute short-term supramaximal performance in the speed, explosive power and reaction time of college students.

The present study aimed at evaluating the effect of two strains of probiotics (Bacillus subtilis PB6 and Bacillus Cereus var. toyoi) on selected indicators of antioxidant status and immune responses of broilers during pre- and post-challenge with Salmonella enterica subsp. Typhimurium (S. typhimurium). Birds received one of the following five treatments: positive control group (CTL+); negative control + S. typhimurium (CTL−); antibiotic + S. typhimurium, (AB); Toyocerin® + S. typhimurium (TOYO); and CloSTATTM + S. typhimurium (CLOS). Birds in all treatments except for CTL+ were orally challenged with inoculated with 3 x109 CFU S. typhimurium at 16 days of age. The results revealed that total antioxidant capacity (TAC), superoxide dismutase activity (SOD) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) values were similar among all groups. The titers of antibodies against S. typhimurium and Newcastle disease (ND) were not affected by treatments (P>0.05). However, S. typhimurium and ND titers were influenced by the interaction between week and treatment (P<0.01, P<0.05, respectively) and week (P<0.001, P<0.001, respectively). In summary, S. typhimurium challenge had an impact on anti-Salmonella and NC titers. Both probiotics had no impacts on the antioxidant capacity in the birds.

The risks of developing cross-resistance and multiple antibiotic resistances in pathogenic bacteria are a major concern. This could result in proliferation of antibiotics-insensitive bacteria. The goal of this project is to test a variety of safer product which could serve as an alternative to antimicrobial growth promoters (AGPs) without any side effects on human health.\nA total of 240-one-day old chicks were allocated in six experimental treatments for 42 days as follows: T1 = positive control: unmediated diet, unchallenged birds (+ve control); T2 = negative control: unmediated diet, challenged birds (-ve control); T3 = mediated diet with antibiotic, challenged birds (NEOX); T4 = mediated diet with probiotic, challenged birds (GALI); T5 = mediated diet with prebiotic, challenged birds (TECHNO) and T6 = mediated diet with probiotic and prebiotic (SYM). Birds in treatments 2 to 6 were challenged with oral dose of Clostridium perfringens (C. perfringens). The results revealed that poor performance was interconnected with broilers infected with C. perfringens and did not receive any kind of medication (-ve control). The GALI and TECHNO were able to eliminate the negative effects of the bacterial challenge and improve the performance to a level similar to the +ve control.

The effects of three commercial organic acids and a reference antibiotic, neoxyval on serum enzymes activity, hematological and biochemical indices were examined in six weeks trial. Chicks in all treatments except for the control were inoculated with (3 x109 CFU/ml) of Salmonella enterica subsp. Typhimurium (ST) when they were 16 days old. At 0 day old, birds received one of the following 6 treatments: positive control group (CTL+); negative control (CTL−); antibiotic, (NEOX); Gallimix (GALI); FormaXOL, (FORMA); and Fysal, (FYS). The results revealed that albumin, globulin and their ratio were influenced by the time of blood collection (P<0.001). Globulin which is associated with the immune system in the body, increased after the ST challenge while albumin decreased. Treatments had a significant effects on Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) after the ST challenge (P<0.05). Higher levels were obtained from birds which had received the NEOX or negative control which could be an indication of liver damage in broilers. In summary, ST challenge had an impact on serum albumin, globulin and hepatic enzymes. The results from this study suggested that organic acids especially GALI had a positive influence on alleviate the negative effects of Salmonella challenge.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the largest countries in the Middle East and during recent decades has experienced a rapid expansion in health care services. This study was conducted to investigate the assessment of the physical health status and the quality of life among Saudi older people in Jeddah. Older adults (N=55) participated in study from a major hospital in Jeddah, the age of elderly ranged from 60 - 85 years with a mean of 67.9 ± 7.71 years. All subjects were asked to complete a survey which consisted of information about personal and socio-demographic data, presence of a caregiver , personal habits and perceived health. Functional capacity of elderly was inquired by asking about the ability of elderly to conduct the basic activities as walking, bathing, using the toilet, dressing, eating, and getting in and out of home without need of help (ADL). The main physical & psychological complaints were inquired. In addition, diagnosed chronic diseases were collected by asking about the presence of chronic diseases diagnosed by physicians. Results showed that the a significant positive relationship between (age and ADL), (age and memory problem) , and (anxiety and lonely) (sleep disturbance and falls). In this study was found that main factors that contribute of the quality of life among older adults are (Chronic disease, Falls, Sedentary life style, sleep disturbance and Economic income). Furthermore, there is an alarming high rate of falls with diabetes mellitus (60%) and hypertension (40%) among older adults in this study. Although, this study confirmed that Saudi older adults have a little physical activity (63%) sedentary life and this can predisposing risk of developing disability and falls. Adversely, that will impact mobility and ability to perform the activity of daily living. We recommend that there is a need for promote ion of healthy lifestyles and behavioral changes through conduct ion of community-based health education program among Saudi older adults. Screening programs for chronic diseases, especially for diabetes and hypertension, is highly recommended among elderly population.

The optical rectification(OR) coefficient, , emerged from intersubband transitions for cubical quantum dots(CQDs) with an applied electric field is theoretically investigated in the frame work of the compact-density-matrix approach and an iterative method. To find energy levels and wave functions we employ exact diagonalization method in the effective mass approximation. As main result, the OR coefficient strongly depends on the length of CQDs and the magnitude of electric field. We found that the OR coefficient is smaller for weaker electric field and the peak values shift to higher energies (blueshift) with increasing applied electric field.

Genetic factors play a pivotal role in the development and pathogenesis of coronary artery disease (CAD). The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene insertion (I)/deletion (D) polymorphism is one of the various genetic factors associated with CAD. We investigated the association between the ACE gene I/D polymorphism and CAD in the Saudi population. A 210 CAD patients were studied, while 103 healthy adults were used as control subjects. ACE I/D polymorphism was detected by electrophoresing the amplified PCR ACE product on an agarose gel. In the CAD group, we determined that the DD genotype frequency was 65.7%, whereas 27.6% of the patients carried the ID genotype, and 6.7% carried the II genotype. Within the control group, 57.3% carried the DD genotype, 25.2% carried the ID genotype, and 17.5

The routine identification of mycobacterial strains from patients from different locations in Egypt was confirmed by specific DNA fragment amplification. The susceptibilities of 72 Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains against four antibiotics used in tuberculosis treatment (Isoniazid, INH; Rifampicin, RIF; Streptomycin, ST and Ethambutol, E) were examined. Our results indicated that, MDR-TB represents about 19.5% of strains, whereas sensitive represented 26.4%. The genetic polymorphism of the tested strains was examined using RAPD analysis. Six selected strains represent the different antibiotic susceptibility groups were examined using RAPD fingerprinting. No difference between strains was recorded using the RFLP analysis of amplified specific fragment. The discrimination power of RAPD analysis was inadequate to clarify the genetic correlation between the tested strains. MDR-TB was approximately double time in 2011 compared with the value in 2010. Most of the new MDR-TB was correlated with resident dense population regions.

Abstract\n\nToxoplasmosis, caused by the protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii, is one of the most important zoonotic diseases affecting both animals and humans. It is one of the most destructive factors affecting the reproductive potentials of animals being responsible for abortion, stillbirths, resulting in a great economic loss. In this study, blood samples were collected from 152 horses (99 female-53 male). The age of the study groups ranged from 2 months - 20 years and during the period from October 2010 to April 2011. Collected samples were labeled and stored at -20 °C until tested by the three serological tests for detection of anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies. \nThe seroprevalence in the adult horses, (>11-year-old) 44.1%: 15 of 34, was significantly higher than those of young horses (1-10-years-old) 13.4%: 13 of 97. Ended, seroprevalence in horses increased with age. Although, the female horses had a significantly higher seroprevalence (18.2%: 18 from 99) than the male, (3.8%: 2 from 53). This study describes that high seroprevalence rates and highlights the risk of toxoplasmosis in horses due to environmental contamination with T. gondii oocysts.

The aim of the present analysis is to apply the Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) for the solution of a time-fractional Navier–Stokes equation. The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo derivatives. This method can be used as an alternative to obtain analytic and approximate solutions of different types of fractional partial differential equations applied in engineering mathematics and expanded. Numerical results and computer graphics show that the constructed numerical is efficient. At the end of the paper, the method is tested on fractional Navier–Stokes equations with a example.

Economic, social and political transformations in transition economies have led to the formation of new social groups and changed the structure of the society as a whole. New groups appear not based on the classical principals of stratification, but there have national particularities, human capital formation given in the current economy, namely that innovational. Middle class is a guarantee of economic, social and political stability. This paper provides an estimation of the presence of the middle class in Romania, on the base of objective criterion and subjective identification of people. Conclusion is that Romanian’s middle class, due to its material and social position, is in the process of formation.

Echinococcus granulosus, causes a major public health as its larval stage causes the life threatening cyclozoonotic disease, in different parts of the world. E. granulosus were isolated from different livestock (camel, sheep and goat) of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The possibility of intra-genotype variation was investigated using randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis by 20 random primers of 8-10 mers. After isolation of protoscolices from fertile cyst, DNA was extracted and Internal Transcribed Spacer gene 1 (ITS1) was amplified using specific primer and followed by Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) with the four restriction enzymes (HhaI, AluI, MspI & RsaI). Our study showed no ITS1 variants could be detected and no genotypic variation among Saudi animal isolates of E. granulosus on the basis of RAPD fingerprinting and RFLP-PCR.

Cloud servers, as a third party, provide a platform for users to store data and share resources. Thus the security of the cloud platform becomes critical important. To guarantee the security of the outsourced data on the cloud, Yang Tang et al presented an overlay cloud storage system FADE. It is claimed that the system could achieve fine-grained, policy-based access control and file assured deletion. In the FADE system, the independent third party key manager was presented to realize the access control and file assured deletion by distributing and deleting the keys. However, through our cryptanalysis, the FADE system has some security vulnerabilities, which are the masquerade attacks and the message tampering attacks. All these attacks will lead to disclosing the secrets of the files, damaging the integrity of the files. Moreover, the files will be easily gotten by unauthorized attackers. In this paper, we first point out the attacks on the FADE system. Then, in order to deal with the above security shortages, we propose our improved protocols SFADE, which can keep the frame of the FADE system, have higher security, and hold all the merits of FADE. Based on the strand space model, we formally prove that our improved protocols can guarantee the data confidentiality, data integrity and correct mutual authentication between the communication entities. Therefore, our improved protocols can withstand the masquerade attacks and the message tampering attacks. Finally, the simulation results illustrate that the performance cost of our improved protocols is almost same and not significantly increased compared with the FADE system.

The objective of the study was to determine socio-demographic and epidemiological data on incompetent adults (i.e. people over 18 years of age were deprived of legal capacity by court decisions) for the analysis of the system of guardianship in the Czech Republic. One of the objectives of this study was to identify the types of mental disorders at incompetent adults. A survey, carried out in two regions in the Czech Republic in 2009–2011, consisted of two phases. The partial results from the first phase will be presented in the article. The content of 1,092 court records on incompetent adults over the period 2006–2008 was analysed and described. The data collection technique was used as the content analysis. The results indicated the difference between the types of mental disorders of incompetent adults by age groups and sex in both regions. The most frequent mental disorders for which males (137 of 592) were deprived of legal capacity was moderate mental retardation (23.1%) and Alzheimer’s disease dementia (23.2%) for females (116 of 500). The chi-square test revealed that people over 60 years (229 of 307) are characterized by a significant difference in deprivation of in legal capacity due to dementia between females (79.8%) and males (60.7%; p = 0.001). Schizophrenia occurred 2.5 times more frequently to males than to females. Dementia is the main reason for deprivation of legal capacity in people over 60 years, mental retardation in people aged 18-35 years, and alcohol-related disorders in people aged 48-59.

In this study, a total of 40 samples of raw beef meat and its products, raw chicken, raw fish and raw Camel milk were analyzed for the presence of Listeria spp. The isolates were characterized by morphological, cultural and confirmed isolates were identified by protein profiling and verified by API Listeria system (BioMe´rieux, Marcy l‘Etoile, and France). Out of 40 meat samples, 14 (35%) were found to be contaminated with Listeria spp., with the highest incidence (50%) occurring in raw beef products and raw chicken. Protein profiling by SDS-PAGE was used to identify Listeria spp,. The results were verified using API Listeria system. The highest ratio of isolates identified as Listeria seeligeri, Listeria welshimeri, and Listeria grayi were 25 % (three positive samples), 16.66% were Listeria monocytogenes (two positive samples), 16.6% and Listeria innocua (two positive samples) and 8.3% Listeria ivanovii (one positive sample).

The research study was conducted at the farm of Pakistan Oilseed Development Board Tarnab, Peshawar to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of indole butyric acid (IBA) each at 0, 100, 200 and 300 ppm on hardwood and semi hardwood cuttings of olive. Cuttings were taken in the month of October from an eight-year-old mother plant and dipped for 5 seconds in the required IBA solutions. The highest survival percentage, shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves shoot-1, number of branches shoot-1, number of roots plant-1, root length and root diameter were recorded in both types of cuttings treated with IBA 300 ppm. The maximum number of branches shoot-1 was observed in hardwood cuttings. Hardwood cutting treated with IBA 100 ppm gave the highest number of branches shoot-1. On the basis of overall performance either type of olive cutting treated with 300 ppm IBA solution showed best results to propagate olive.

Accumulation of heavy metals in maize plant (Zea mays L.) irrigated with industrial effluent and tap water was assessed. Heavy metals accumulation in root, stem and grains of the plant was detected after 60 days, in the period of July 2012–September 2012. The ranking order of concentration of the heavy metals in different parts of maize plant was Fe> Pb> Cr> Cd> Ni> Co in the roots, which changed to Fe> Cr> Cd> Pb> Ni> Co in the shoot and Fe> Pb> Ni> Co in the grains. The ranking order of heavy metals accumulation in different parts of the plant was root>shoot>grains for Fe, Pb, Cr, Cd, Ni and Co. The height and yield of the plant were measured after harvest. The results showed that height and yield of maize decreased significantly after treatment by industrial effluent as compared to control. Thus, it may be concluded that industrial effluent is not valid for irrigation purposes

We prove that each linearly minimal Jordan algebra of characteristic not equal to 2 is a Jordan division algebra. Then, using Zel\'manov\'s classification of Jordan division algebras, we prove that linearly minimal Jordan algebras are fields.

The main purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between spiritual intelligence and social interaction perception with students\' resilience of Tehran city. The research method is descriptive-correlational. The research population includes BA and MA students of Islamic Azad University, research and science branch of Tehran in educational year of 2012-2013. The sample group includes 384 people based on Morgan table and by using available sampling method. The data collection tool in this research includes three questionnaires of Glass social interaction perception, Naseri spiritual intelligence and Connor and Davidson resilience. The results of data analysis by using Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and resilience and by the rise of the spiritual intelligence, people\'s resilience also rises. Also, one can predict resilience from spiritual intelligence. Furthermore, another part of research findings shows that there is a significant relationship between social interaction perception and resilience and by the rise of social interaction perception, people\'s resilience also increases. Moreover, resilience can be predicted from social interaction perception.

Various β-glycosidases from seven potential plant seeds were investigated as catalysts for the glycosylation between the D-glucose and tyrosol for the first time. It was found that the low-cost Prunus persica seed β-glycosidase displayed the excellent activity towards the preparation of salidroside. Several crucial parameters, such as the solvent, buffer pH, buffer content, substrate molar ratio, enzyme dosage and temperature were examined for optimization of yields. Under the optimal conditions, the initial reaction rate and yield of salidroside were as high as 3.0 mM/h and 18.9%.

The effect of copper and cadmium on the modification of protein and plasma membrane(P.M.) in maize leaves and roots was studied. In stressed plants for 4 d with 0.25. 1 and 4 mM Cu or Cd the amount of total lipid in the plasma membranes of leaves and roots were decreased. Also, the total sterols in P.M. of the treated roots were decreased whereas, that of the leaves were slightly increased (insignificant) or unchanged in response to heavy metals used. On the other hand, the treatment had no significant effect on total glycolipids. Furthermore, the direct effects of Cu2+ and Cd2+ treatments on the lipid composition of membranes by altering the profile of unsaturated fatty acids have been reported,. After 4 days exposure to Cu2+ and Cd2+ over 50% of the total fatty acids were saturated in plasma membrane of both leaves and roots of Cu2+ and Cd2+ treated plant. SDS-PAGE analysis of protein pattern showed some polypeptide bands were disappeared under Cu2+ and Cd2+ treatments but at different concentrations. The presence of various protein bands which differ in migration position and bands’ intensities, proving the significant effect of both Cu2+ and Cd2+ on the protein content of leaves through induction of new stress protein bands. Taken together, these data strongly indicated that alteration of the protein and plasma membrane lipid composition under the effect of Cu2+ and Cd2+ stresses were mainly due to the reduction in lipid and protein set synthesized during the experimental period or by partial protein and lipid degradation and this is the initial cause of growth reduction under metals treatment in short-term experiments.
