Plants are the most important elements of the landscape design studies, by composing the green area, masses and living places. Plants in the nature are caused to shape the landscape and to give it a character within their functions, sizes (norms), shapes, textures and colours. Inside those plants there are evergreens, herbaceous, fall colourings, being attractive by their flowers or the leafless styles. Within those variabilities, by using the planting design principles, so many successful landscape studies are appeared. Bursa city is very rich in terms of the biological diversity within the natural herbaceous plants and the endemic plants. In this study, the endemic flora in the natural vegetation of Bursa province is analysed and the use of some of the chosen taxa in landscape design is studied. As a result of the study, it is determined that Bursa province is rich in terms of endemic taxa; however, the endemic populations have started to decrease due to the intense pressure especially in Uludağ (Great Mountain), which is a tourism centre. With the help of the floristic analysis carried out, the use of some endemic taxa in landscape practices (borders, waterfronts and rock gardens) has been offered.
